And it\u2019s not news to say that&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1111\/jomf.12762\">mothers often shoulder the burden<\/a>&nbsp;for most of those activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-large is-style-large--3\" style=\"margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--50)\">But there\u2019s an invisible dimension of household labor that unfolds behind the scenes: the cognitive effort that goes into anticipating needs, planning, organizing and delegating household tasks.
