Los Angeles launches sweeping plan to fix major hazard before 2028 Olympic Games: ‘It’s about people’<\/h1>\n\n\n

TLos Angeles is getting a major boost in the fight against its most dangerous climate hazard \u2014 extreme heat \u2014 thanks to a sweeping new plan to expand shade across the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ShadeLA<\/a> coalition, led by USC Dornsife Public Exchange alongside UCLA Luskin Center for Innovation, city and county agencies, LA Metro, and community organizations, will focus on adding and protecting tree canopy and building shade in neighborhoods where it’s needed most.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
