Planting Shade: Cooling Down L.A. Before The 2028 Olympic Games<\/h1>\n\n\n

With the 2028 Olympics on the horizon, the City of L.A. is determined to ensure proper sun shelter for the influx of athletes and tourists to come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The County of Los Angeles Department of Public Health listed some sobering predictions in its\u00a02021 executive summary\u00a0for Climate Change and Health Equity in Los Angeles County. Major points listed a future wrought with climate hazards, including predictions of an increase in larger, destructive wildfires, as well as\u00a0the possibility of up to a ten-fold increase in the number of heat waves in L.A.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
