The first network built to help organizations and universities work together to solve problems that matter<\/span> with solutions people can use. <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The United States is home to some of the world\u2019s best research institutions. From black hole imaging to breakthrough medicine, U.S. universities push the limits of what\u2019s possible. We turn that academic brainpower into a tool for public good\u2014partnering mission-driven organizations, governments, and more with university researchers to take on urgent issues facing our society.

Public Exchange began at USC in 2020. Founded by former Dornsife Dean Amber D. Miller and championed today by Dean James Bullock. Since then, we\u2019ve worked with 35 partners and 135 researchers to deliver on-the-ground results to communities in Los Angeles and beyond. In 2025, we welcomed WashU to the Public Exchange Network, extending our model for turning insights into impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From keeping families fed during the COVID-19 pandemic to preventing homelessness, we transform research into meaningful results for our partners and the people they serve\u2014creating better policies, systems, and solutions that actually work in people\u2019s lives.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n
