Solar Canal Pilot May Help California Achieve Its Ambitious Climate, Energy Goals

Led by Public Exchange, faculty at seven collaborating colleges and universities have begun studying the viability of a broader solar canal effort. Researchers aim to determine the best locations for additional solar canals, how they could compete in the market, the policy and regulatory pathways that would advance or hinder construction, and the impact of solar canals on disadvantaged communities.
